“Illuminating Love” | Historic Venue Series

Bride wearing custom designed halo tiara and earring set featuring pearl and gemstones in a gothic revival chapel.

Hinterland Hall (formerly, St. Luke’s Episcopal), Lanesborough, MA

Built in 1836, Hinterland Hall was originally constructed to house the congregation of an Episcopal parish. Boasting pointed windows and doors, a spacious Tudor style barrel vaulted ceiling, and charming New England stonework, Hinterland Hall is a true testament to the spirit of Gothic Revival, blending traditional splendor with contemporary appeal through the use of light and space.

My design for this halo crown is a measured balance between light and structure. Semitransparent mother of pearl and moonstones arch weightlessly above the crown of the head, playing gracefully in vaulted suspension. Biwa and baroque pearls add an organic, elegant grounding to the design. Together, these aspects work in harmony to create an architecture of natural grandeur and intricate delicacy.
